Reek of Cigarettes
Reek of Cigarettes
Someone asked me if I know you,
I just paused and nodded
Because I did, but the you I know, faded,
A “distant memory” that’s you.
How could you?
I gave everything you ever needed,
Even the things you never asked.
Am I just a piece of joke to you?
You once loved me, right?
Because I did, even when the most beautiful
sun sets,
And even when I bend on my knees every time
we fight.
All I have now is my heart that never
forgets,
Wishing for you to come back with all your
might
So I can get a hold of your mouth again and
the reek of cigarettes.
